No one can live forever, and personally I would not want to. But a person can live healthier. One of the best ways to live healthier is to drink lots of water. A person should drink as many ounces of water as half of your body weight. For instance, if you weight one hundred and fifty pounds you should drink seventy-five ounces of water a day. More water certainly could not hurt you either but you should drink at least that many ounces. Our bodies are made up of mostly water and we need to keep them hydrated to stay healthy.
Another great way to stay healthy is to stay active. This does not mean to do exercises that we absolutely hate to do. If you dread doing something day in and day out the likelihood of you giving up and not doing it at all is quite high. But if you are doing something that you enjoy the more likely you are to stick with it. Taking a walk with a friend, playing hand ball or tennis with a friend, or even playing golf with a friend are all great activities and all good ways of staying in shape.
Of course, as with staying healthy another good way to slow the aging process is eating healthy. A general rule is that anything that looks the same when you eat it as it did when it was growing on the vine makes it an excellent health food. The right amount of sleep is also very important in terms of a youthful appearance. Many people do not get the right amount of deep sleep. This is the sleep that does the body the most good. The body leaves this stage of sleep feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Many people do not get enough sleep because they are too busy with work; have too much on their mind, or any number of other reasons.

You just cannot cut corners in terms of taking care of yourself in any area of your life if you want to prolong it.
